According to the latestĀ Votersā Voice PollĀ published byĀ The Center Square, Republican and right-leaning independent voters are already signaling their preferences for theĀ 2028 presidential electionĀ cycle. Current Vice PresidentĀ JD VanceĀ has emerged
as the overwhelming favorite, securing 36% of the support in a landslide lead. However, the data indicates a slight cooling forĀ Vance, whose support dipped from 38% in October, with a more pronounced decline among independent voters. WhileĀ Donald Trump Jr.Ā remains the second-most popular choice at 19%, he also experienced a downward trend in support. In contrast, Secretary of StateĀ Marco RubioĀ is showing significant upward mobility.Ā RubioĀ climbed to 9% overall and notably surged to 15% among independent voters, surpassingĀ Trump Jr.Ā within that specific demographic. This shift positionsĀ Rubio as a rising contender within the conservative landscape as the field begins to take shape. The survey of 952 Republicans and 225 independents also highlighted shifting gender demographics. WhileĀ JD VanceĀ previously saw stronger support among women, the latest figures show a reversal, with 39% of men backing him compared to 33% of women. As theĀ 2028 cycleĀ approaches, these early metrics suggest a strong base for current administration figures, even as dark-horse candidates likeĀ RubioĀ begin to consolidate support.
