😱Police 💔Identify Body Found In Phoenix Amid Ongoing Nancy Guthrie Search

Phoenix authorities have officially identified the body discovered near a local canal as 42-year-old Alex Fleming, putting to rest immediate speculation regarding a connection to the high-profile kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie. While Fleming’s death is being investigated as a homicide by local detectives due to signs of physical trauma, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed there is currently no known link between the two cases.

The search for Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, has entered its 37th day. Since her disappearance from her Tucson home on February 1, investigators have sifted through tens of thousands of tips and analyzed doorbell camera footage featuring a masked man on her porch. Despite these efforts and the direct assistance of the FBI, no suspects have been formally identified, leading to growing frustration among her loved ones who have offered a $1 million reward for her safe return. Sheriff Chris Nanos has cautioned that while significant physical evidence, including DNA and blood traces, was recovered from the home, complete forensic analysis could take up to a year. The investigation remains massive in scope, with several hundred personnel still assigned to the case. Recent leads have focused on a damaged utility box near the Guthrie residence, though previous persons of interest have been cleared and several ransom demands have expired without resolution.
