An upcoming documentary is set to provide an intimate look at Hunter Biden’s life during a turbulent period following his June 2023 plea agreement with federal prosecutors involving tax and firearms charges. Newly reviewed footage offers insight into his personal struggles, legal challenges, and efforts to establish himself as an artist while his father, Joe Biden, served as president.

According to The New York Post, the documentary includes footage recorded on June 29, 2023, just days after Hunter Biden’s attorneys finalized the plea agreement. One scene shows Hunter Biden engaged in an emotional phone conversation with New York art dealer Georges Bergès, repeatedly asking, “Who am I protected by?” The exchange reportedly takes place at his Malibu art studio, where he is also seen painting while holding his young son, Beau.

The project was filmed by Hollywood attorney, author, and producer Kevin Morris, who followed Hunter Biden between 2021 and 2024. Morris, who reportedly loaned Hunter Biden more than $6.5 million to help pay tax obligations and personal expenses, documented key moments in his life, including gallery exhibitions, legal proceedings, and other significant events during that period.

The documentary also focuses on Hunter Biden’s emergence as a professional artist. In one scene, Bergès reviews one of his paintings and offers constructive feedback, while later segments reference the public debate surrounding sales of Hunter Biden’s artwork during Joe Biden’s presidency. The film incorporates news coverage highlighting concerns raised by some Republican lawmakers, who called for additional scrutiny of the art transactions.

Beyond documenting his artistic career, the film reportedly follows Hunter Biden through several legal developments and includes footage captured during production in Serbia. According to published reports, the documentary remains unfinished, and its release date has not been announced.
