According to the latest Voters’ Voice Poll published by The Center Square, Republican and right-leaning independent voters are already signaling their preferences for the 2028 presidential election cycle. Current Vice President JD Vance has emerged
as the overwhelming favorite, securing 36% of the support in a landslide lead. However, the data indicates a slight cooling for Vance, whose support dipped from 38% in October, with a more pronounced decline among independent voters. While Donald Trump Jr. remains the second-most popular choice at 19%, he also experienced a downward trend in support. In contrast, Secretary of State Marco Rubio is showing significant upward mobility. Rubio climbed to 9% overall and notably surged to 15% among independent voters, surpassing Trump Jr. within that specific demographic. This shift positions Rubio as a rising contender within the conservative landscape as the field begins to take shape. The survey of 952 Republicans and 225 independents also highlighted shifting gender demographics. While JD Vance previously saw stronger support among women, the latest figures show a reversal, with 39% of men backing him compared to 33% of women. As the 2028 cycle approaches, these early metrics suggest a strong base for current administration figures, even as dark-horse candidates like Rubio begin to consolidate support.
